HOW TO MAKE A TEA

‘The mind is like a parachute: it works only when it is open’
It is important to remember this adage when one reads this recipe for a good cup of tea for it might not seem close to that brownish liquid that we make in our homes daily and call it tea.

Tea is broadly classified as orthodox or long leaf and CTC tea. Orthodox tea is more aromatic and Darjeeling is famous for its long leaf tea. Assam is famous for its CTC tea.

Making a cup of tea, regardless of which leaf you use, involves boiling a cup of water in a pan or metal instrument that you use. When water starts boiling, switch off the burner or gas. Add half a teaspoon of tea-leaves, cover the pan with a lid and let the tea brew for two minutes.

It is important that the tea should not be boiled for it releases harmful chemicals and toxins that ruin the taste. After two minutes, strain the liquor in to a cup, add a teaspoon of sugar and enjoy your brew. True connoisseurs prefer it this way.

Those that cannot do without milk can add two teaspoon of hot milk to the tea and still say cheers. See how interesting tea you have made. Then make it for others and become happy. J
